November 10-16, 2024, has been proclaimed as “Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week”.
“The School District of Whiteshell is committed to the safety and well-being of our students. Our schools are safe spaces where respect and inclusion are core values, and we will continue to take all necessary actions to prevent bullying and promote a positive learning environment. The Board commits to taking the necessary steps to review and update our policies related to safe schools and anti-bullying to ensure they meet the highest standards of protection and support for all members of our community.”
The Board will continue to empower our Staff and Students to take action and develop solutions that fit the needs of our community.

Miss Remillard’s grade 4/5 and 5/6 Art classes at FW Gilbert School, were fortunate enough to have Jasyn Lucas come and work with them on two mural projects this week. These projects are pieces that can continue to be worked on in the future.
Jasyn Lucas is an indigenous artist from the Mathias Colomb Cree Nation in northern Manitoba. His art celebrates the beauty and interconnectivity of our world.
Grade 2-4 students working on Halloween STEAM challenges: Pumpkin Launchers, Robot Trick or Treat, Eyeball Towers and Lego Builds.
A huge thank you to our leadership team led by Mrs. Chambers for offering such a fun morning of Halloween fun!
