VERY exciting day in Grade 1/2…our 48 eggs have arrived. ❤️🎉🎉🎉They’re tucked safe and sound into our incubator. And now we learn everything we can and wait for 21 days….😁

Another fun adventure for our international students - Manitoba Camping thanks to our Host Family Kadille and Ariane!! These 2 have been hosting students for many years now! We appreciate you taking these students and showing them new experiences! Couldn't do this program without these amazing hosts!!

SDW is looking for anyone interested in welcoming an International Student into their home for 2026 2027 school year. We have lots of students requesting to come to our Division and would love to accept them all! But we NEED YOU ! We will have students for 3, 5 or 10 months! Males & Females! They come from all over the world: Japan, Switzerland, France and Germany to name a few! The District offers a monthly stipend.

Main 3 things we need from a host family is: 3 meals a day, a caring and nurturing home, and to just have fun!! There is always support from the local International Coordinator and other host families.

New this year we will have a host family training session online to help you feel more confident before your student arrives, and a higher monthly stipend to help with the extra costs. We really need the community to help with this program to make it a success.

So grateful for host families like Lisa McKay and crew! She and her family have hosted students for many years and from many countries! She took these 4 Internatioanl Students on an adventure to Banff and they had a fabulous time. Thank you Lisa for your contribution to this program!

Some of our internationals are very lucky and are away exploring in Banff!

The 11/12 Biology students along with the 7/8 class had the opportunity to help stock the Lac du Bonnet trout ponds and learn about fish biology yesterday.  We ended the day with an interpretive hike at Blueberry rock.

Physics 30s learning about waves in 2D

Last week the grade 9 business course "Run Your Own Business" saw Pop'd, run their snack business, offering a variety of popcorn related treats. Proceeds to the Humane Society. Currently, Smokin Hot Churros are up and running. They offer a homemade, deep fried, cinnamon sugar-coated crispy dough treat with optional dipping sauces. Proceeds to the Marathon of Hope.
